Any cake, no matter how simple can look fancy and amazing sitting on top of a beautiful cake stand! This DIY project is super simple and will only take a matter of minutes to complete.
Here’s what you’ll need:
First things first, go to your local thrift store or even the dollar store and find a glass candle stick holder and a dinner plate. You can get really creative here and mix colors and patterns if you like, or just use glass or crystal pieces.
Any size will work, depending on how you want your cake stand to be used!
After you’ve been inspired and picked your pieces, pick up some multipurpose clear adhesive, or even glass glue. We recommend Gorilla Glue. You can find this at most stores in the hardware section.
When you’ve gotten all of your supplies, wash and dry the pieces you’ve chosen. Simply follow the directions on your adhesive and glue the base of the plate to the top of the candle holder. Give it a bit to dry well and then get baking!
Tips:
We like to get crazy and use different size plates and make this project even more versatile and useful. You can use these plates to display anything you want, not just cakes! We like to dress them up with candles or even holiday décor!
