Get Crafty and Make Your Own Prism Candle Jar!

 

Prism Candle jars are a great way to set the mood in your home or even outside. They are both beautiful and functional, and a super cute DIY!

What you’ll need:

-A mason jar, any size you choose!
-Round glass pieces. You can get creative and choose any color or size you like. These are easily found at any craft store.
-Super glue or glass glue. We like E6000!
-Ribbon or twine of your choosing.
-Tea light candle
-Small paint brush

First, take the top off of your mason jar but leave the ring on.  In a well ventilated area, put a bit of glue directly onto your paint brush and begin painting the glue onto the jar in small patches beginning from the top of your jar.

After applying the glue to an area, quickly place your glass pieces on your jar.  You’ll have to wait for that area to dry before moving on so that your glass pieces don’t slide around.

 

Continue the applying and waiting process until your jar is covered.

Once your jar is completely dry, tie your ribbon or twine around the mouth of the jar.
Place your tea light candle in, light, and enjoy!

Tips:

-For outside, you can place a citronella candle in your jar to keep the mosquitoes away!

-To set the mood even more, try using some yummy smelling tea lights, not just plain ones!
